What tips can you tell me for white bass fishing?

White bass fishing is not as common as largemouth or smallmouth bass fishing and so those bass fishing enthusiasts that are looking for some new action may like to try it. It will make a nice change for you but you have to be able to catch them first. Completely unique in their own right, the white bass do tend to take some catching so the following tips will help you! First of all, choose baits that resemble minnows. The food that white bass eat tends to be rather limited to the little fish and so you will find that your catch rates jump up quickly if you choose to use lures and baits that look like them. Grey and white in colour, large and big minnow artificial baits will work well. However, you should use lines well to make sure that the movement is authentic. Fishing on the top water may therefore be helpful in elevating your catch rate. You may also want to try keeping pace with the bass all year round. In late fall, fish slowly to attract the white bass. In summer though, be sure to fish at a much quicker pace because you absolutely have to keep up if you want to have a good day on the lake. The warmer the water, the quicker the movements of the bass and so the more effort you have to put in to keep up with them. White bas re predators and will chase your bait. You do not need to leave it static and this can arouse suspicion.
