If you are a bass fishing enthusiast and want to experience the best action around then there are several states that you might like to visit South Carolina is one of them. Although it is not one of the most recognised states for bass action, the bass fishing in South Carolina is excellent all year round. You would even find that your catch rates would be OK in winter, expecially when you compare them with catch rates in other states. This is because the population of bass is large and there are plenty of lakes and river to choose for bass fishing. The population of bass is currently increasing and is reported to be incredibly healthy so you have little to worryabout in that way. If you do decide to go bass fishing in South Carolina then there are plenty of lakes to choose from. However, here are numerous lakes that you can head to if you want to enjoy a day out fishing for bass, some of which are Hartwell Lake, Lake Greenwood, Lake Jocassee, Lake Keowee, Lake Marion, Lake Moultrie, Lake Murray and Lake Wylie are considered to be the best if you ask the experts. If you have never fished there before then most of the lakes actually have guides available so you can ask someone knowledgeable. Finally, if you do go to South Carolina in search of bass then make sure that you have crankbaits and spinnerbaits on hand. They tend to be rather successful! You can of course try other baits but these will usually turn your luck around if need be.
