The Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League has a lot to be excited about. The top awards for the boater side will now be $6,000 in the qualifiers and $9,000 for the Super Tournaments. The co-angler will receive $3,000 in the qualifiers and the Super Tournaments will be $4,500. If the winning boater is Ranger Cup qualified they can also receive a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus. However, if they are not qualified, then the award will be $1,000.

Before You Sign Up for the FLW Bass Tour

If you love to fish for bass, then why not be a part of the largest bass tournament organization in the world. You will have the opportunity to show off your skills and win some great prizes. However, it is recommended that before signing up for the FLW Bass Tour that you spend some quality time working on your skills.

You will be going up against some of the finest and most experienced anglers in the world. They love to fish for bass and they are very good at what they do. If you expect to advance through the tournaments you must also be very good at what you do.

Spend some time practicing bass fishing in different types of water and situations. For example, go bass fishing during different times of the day so you can see how the bass respond differently from morning to evening. Go fishing in different weather conditions. The bass respond differently when it cloudy than they do when it’s sunny and so forth.

Try using a variety of baits and lures to see which ones work the best for you. You may be surprised at how even the smallest thing can make a big difference and could mean the difference between winning and losing the tournaments. Last of all, get prepared ahead of time. Go over your tackle to make sure you have everything in order and you are ready to get started.
