Five tips for bass fishing in New Mexico

Fishing for bass first thing in the morning and last thing at night in the vegetation can give you excellent results. You should also fish for bass there during cold snaps in the winter because they often seek shelter.

Although some lakes will not have rocky outcrops, if the one you choose does then that is another fantastic area of a lake to fish.

Finally, make the most of the opportunity to move up and down the shores of a pond or lake if you intend to fish for the day. This applies to fishing from a boat as well as dry land. The bass are very lively in New Mexico and so will move from hour to hour, day to day. Moving as well can ensure that you are able to follow the action and fool the bass. This in turn will increase the catch rate and enhance your enjoyment of the day!  In fact, it will enhance your enjoyment of the whole bass fishing experience!
