There will always be a few bass around there. You do have to make sure that your lines and lures are perfect for vegetation fishing because the largemouth bass will bite so you do not want to risk losing them because your equipment is not right. So how do you spot perfect areas for bass fishing in submerged vegetation? Look for matted hydrilla, coontail and peppergrass on the surface and go for it.

Fourth and finally, always fish to conditions. The conditions change from lake to lake in Florida, and then of course there are also the weather conditions on the day you chose to fish there. The best thing you can do is to take five minutes at the start of the day to assess your options and come up with a good strategy for fishing. You cannot make plans in advance because we all know how conditions change from hour to hour. As such, you should not waste time in advance but make the most of it when you get there.

All four of the tips above are not absolutely essential because you may have a preferred method of fishing for bass. However, they can really help you to up your catch rate whilst you are in the area so why not try them out? You have nothing to lose.
