Winter Bass Fishing Tips and Why It Is So Popular

Winter is one of the best times to go bass fishing if you are serious about catching bass. It may be a little different, much tougher and lot colder but the opportunity to catch some of the really big fish make it worth the extra effort you need to put into it. You should also evaluate your situation regularly when winter bass fishing. If you have been in a certain area for awhile and you are not getting the results you would like then make a change. Go to another area or change the bait or technique to something different to see if you have better luck.

Don’t forget to slow down for the best results and present your bait at a slow moving pace so the bass will have more time to respond. They are much slower during this time of the year and will ignore you if you go to fast. They can also be found in deeper water this time of year compared to when the weather is warmer. Sometimes they tend to feed more when a low pressure front is moving in but their bite will be even softer than during other seasons so, be alert!
