Where are the best places to go bass fishing in Northern Carolina? What baits should I use?

If you live in North Carolina or are visiting for a spot of bass fishing and want to know where to go then it is difficult to know what to tell you. There are so many fantastic bass fishing areas in North Carolina and the vast majority of them have large and healthy populations of bass. With largemouth, smallmouth and striped bass available to you, you really are spoiled for choice. For a good place to start, try the Piedmont Lakes because they offer some of the best North Carolina bass fishing territory available to you. All three – Kerr Lake, High Rock Lake and Jordan Lake – have good populations of bass all year round. This is largely thanks to the fact that all three of the lakes just happen to be fed by a large creek. This actually proves to be good for the bass because it provides a plentiful supply of food for them all year round, including the general favorite – baitfish. The supply is so good that it will keep the bass in the three lakes for some years to come, which is why you may want to put these lakes at the head of your list! Jordan Lake is especially good for bass fishing enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. You might like to try jigs and crankbaits if you are looking for good bass fishing action because they seem to go wild for both baits. Spoons are also good in the deeper waters and plastic worms usually serve to be a big hit no matter which lake, creek or pool you choose.
