What do bass eat in ponds?

Bass that are found in ponds consume small sized fish. Minnows make up the biggest portion of their diet. They will also consume crayfish if they are available. Sometimes they will consume worms but that isn’t always the case. Typically, bass will consume worms if they have no other opportunties for other food sources. Small insects are often part of the diet as they offer the bass fish protein. Algae and small plants can be something they will also consume.
If you have a pond with bass in it, you will have to stock it with some of these other fish for them to consume. The other options if for you to offer pellets that you can get from many pet stores or online. It may take a few days for the bass to get used to the pellets but they will eat them. It is best to feed them natural food sources though if you can.
