Great Bass Fishing Tactics

Location is a big issue that you need to consider when bass fishing. Certain locations are just simply better than others. For example, you can usually find a lot of bass around structures like tress, stumps, inlets, piers, Lilly pads, grassy areas and bridges. When it comes to your gear you have a wide variety to choose from. One reason many anglers come home empty handed is because they do not feel the bass when they first take the bait. This problem can be eliminated by using equipment that is sensitive enough to allow you to feel the bite to make sure you don’t miss any great opportunities.

The time of year you fish will also make a difference. Spring is usually the best time because the bass are feeding heavy and getting ready for the spawning season. They can be found in more shallow areas and tend to group closer together. The winter time is the most difficult to catch bass. They stay deeper in the water and move much slower than in the warm months. It can also be even harder to feel their bite in the winter. One thing is for sure, bass fishing is a sport that can be enjoyed by the family looking for a great way to spend time together or the angler that is going after that trophy bass.
