Any techniques you can tell me for bass fishing in small ponds?

Bass fishing enthusiasts will fish absolutely anywhere they can get get a bite but many shy away from using small ponds to catch bass when they have a free day. This could actually ensure that they miss out on some of the best action around because small ponds obviously restrict where bass can go and tus increase the chances of a bite. You do need to employ one of two techniques to improve your catch rate though. The first is fly fishing. If there are shallower areas in a small pond then this is the ideal technique for fishing for bass in it. Many ponds have a lot of vegetation and thus ensures that the action is always quick. As such, fly fishing will help you to match that speed and increase your catch rate in no time. You must make sure that you are using the right lures and baits for the pond or area in question though because the level of vegetation and composition of the pond will determine what you should and should not use. The other technique is fishing from the bank. In winter, you should fish very slowly but in summer, you should find a comfortable spot to rest in and then match the speed of the action in the pond to the speed at whih you are fishing. Fishing from the bank is relatively easy in a small pond because the bass have limited spaces in which to swim so this should perhaps be your preferred technique.
