Lake Eerie Bass Fishing Tips

Use an LCD fishfinder for a nice, easy way to locate the kinds of structure the bass are going to be looking for to spawn, to find baitfish (which will draw the bass) or to find schools of the bass themselves.  They also help determine the what kind of bottom is present, which is important since the majority of time bass will be found over a hard bottom.

Pay close attention to the location of forage.  Both before and after the spawn, the bass will be ravenous, and gobble up crawfish and gobies.  Search the drop offs around the spawn waters for shiner, yellow perch, or shad, which look like big, dark masses right over a drop off in the water.  When you find them, you will find bass.

Really, all it takes to catch bass is a little know how, and understanding the spawn!  When you understand how to find bait fish, and know how the spawn works, you are going to have a successful bass fishing expedition.
